With a wealth of magnificent landscapes, Argentan, awarded "3 flowers", has many places where you can take a pleasant walk whether in public gardens or landscaped parks!

La Noë Lake Park

La Noë Lake Park
La Noë Lake Park

Both amateur or professional fishermen will make for the lake! You can fish for roach, tench, bream, trout and carp, which can weigh up to 14 kg!
(Compulsory tax for fishing in the lake for people aged 16 and over. Free fishing for children under 12 using a rod with no reel. Information from the Noë Municipal Campsite +33 (0)2 33 36 05 69)

You can also walk all round the lake, or play pétanque. You can also rest in the shade of the awning to watch the ducks on the water. Children will enjoy themselves in their very own play area.

There is also the LaceGarden, in front of the Maison des Dentelles. This tribute to the art of lace-making is an extension of the Lake park. Laid out symmetrically as a "plant poem", it is full of surprises.

Rédemptoristes Park

Ancient trees, limes, chestnuts, poplars can all be seen in this open space in the heart of the town. There is a play area for children. There are plans to improve it over the next few years with more flowers and an entrance from the Saint Michel neighbourhood.

Vallée d’Auge Park

Located behind the Maison du Citoyen, this park has wide lawns, a path bordered with shrubs and a play area for young children. It covers about 1 hectare.

Forêt Normande public garden

Le Jardin de la Forêt Normande

First laid out in 1956, this is the town’s oldest park. The paths take you past splendid flower beds. The town’s project to develop the Orne riverside will bring changes to this public garden. Watch this space…

Parc des peintres

This park is a landscaped wooded area between the route de Falaise and the Provinces neighbourhood. It has an original and symbolic design: in the year 2000 a tree was planted for each child born in Argentan. Name plates were fixed onto the trunks in May 2002.

Coulandon wood

Situé près de la voie de chemin de fer, le long du boulevard Victor Hugo, ce petit bois d'étend sur environ 2,5 hectares. La municipalité a décidé d'y aménagé un lieu de promenade, tout en conservant au site son aspect naturel et boisé.
